Amica Family Sends $170,500 to American Red Cross Relief Effort.

A donation of $170,500 has been made to the New York City/Washington, D.C., terrorist attack relief fund being administered by the American Red Cross. The donation represents $85,250 given by the employees of Amica Mutual Insurance Company, Amica Life Insurance Company, and the companies' directors, and a dollar-for-dollar match by the Amica Companies Foundation.

Thomas A. Taylor, Amica's president and chief executive officer, expressed gratitude when announcing the amount of the donation to the Amica family. "The generosity of Amica's employees and directors embodies one of the very basic American values - neighbor helping neighbor. All of our support in this most devastating time will make a difference."

The Amica Companies Foundation is a permanent endowment established to fund the charitable endeavors of Amica Mutual Insurance Company.
