Amica Announces Final Call for Local High Schools to Enter Save the Night, Amica's National Post-Prom Party Contest.

Amica Insurance is teaming up with area high schools as part of a national initiative to make this prom season a safe one.

Don't let your school miss out on the opportunity for the chance to be eligible for $1,000 to help underwrite the cost of your post-prom party -- the deadline for entries is Friday, March 16, 2001.

Through Save the Night, Amica's Post-Prom Party Program, Amica will donate more than $100,000 to community high schools across the country to help fund substance-free post-prom parties. High schools are invited to enter the Amica Save the Night contest. To be eligible, high schools must be holding a senior prom and planning a post-prom or post-graduation party. The schools will be asked to submit a poem illustrating why teens should not drink and drive on prom night, or any night. In late March, the winning poems will be chosen by a panel of judges, and schools that submit the winning poems will be awarded $1,000 each. Winning high schools will also receive materials developed by Amica including a "how to" guide and poster to help schools organize their parties and reinforce the anti-drinking and driving message.
