Amica Insurance is teaming up with area high schools as part of a national initiative to make this prom season a safe one.

Don't let your school miss out on the opportunity for the chance to be eligible for $1,000 to help underwrite To insure; to sell an issue of stocks and bonds or to guarantee the purchase of unsold stocks and bonds after a public issue.

The word underwrite has two meanings.

Through Save the Night, Amica's Post-Prom Party Program, Amica will donate more than $100,000 to community high schools across the country to help fund substance-free post-prom parties. , and schools that submit the winning poems will be awarded $1,000 each. Winning high schools will also receive materials developed by Amica including a "how to" guide and poster to help schools organize their parties and reinforce the anti-drinking and driving message.
