Amex To Trade Options on Additional Vanguard VIPERs.


VALLEY FORGE, Pa. -- The American Stock Exchange American Stock Exchange (AMEX)

Stock exchange in the U.S. Originally known as “the Curb,” it began as an outdoor marketplace in New York City c. 1850. It moved indoors to its present location in the Wall Street area in 1921.
 (Amex) is now trading options on 20 Vanguard(R) VIPERs(R). VIPERs are exchange-traded shares of Vanguard's low-cost index funds, offering exposure to large-, mid- and small-capitalization stocks, as well as to discrete market sectors. Vanguard is the only company whose index funds offer both traditional mutual fund shares and exchange-traded shares.
