AMES, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 2003

Borders(R) Books & Music is celebrating the grand opening of its 20,000-square-foot store in Ames, Iowa Ames is a city located in the central part of the U.S. state of Iowa, about 30 miles north of Des Moines in Story County. It is the principal city of the 'Ames, Iowa Metropolitan Statistical Area' which encompasses all of Story County, Iowa and which, when combined with the  -- located at the intersection of Duff Avenue Corridor and 16th Street South-- from Thursday, June 19, through Sunday, June 22. Throughout the weekend, special events are planned including Universal's "A Universe of Music and Movies," "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Midnight Release Party," "Disney Day" and an "All Things Local Fair."

Thursday, June 19 - Universal's "A Universe of Music & Movies"
