Ameron Appoints Wind-Towers Business Executive.


PASADENA, Calif. -- Ameron International Corporation (NYSE:AMN) today announced the appointment of Kenneth D. Primavera as Division President of Ameron's new Wind-Towers Division, effective immediately.

The focus of the new Wind-Towers Division will be on the accelerated sales and marketing efforts relating to Ameron's growing presence in the wind-towers business. The Company has been fabricating large-diameter wind towers for a number of major wind-turbine manufacturers and has essentially completed the construction of a state-of-the-art wind-towers manufacturing facility in Fontana, California.

Mr. Primavera is currently Group Vice President-Sales & Marketing for the West Coast region and Division President of the Protective Linings Division of the Water Transmission Group. Primavera joined Ameron in November 1996 from Chicago Bridge & Iron Company, where he held a number of management positions in the United States and overseas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Valparaiso University in Indiana.
