) announces that it has signed a new contract with a Canadian based bottle company to produce preforms in our plant in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu immediately.

This contract is a result of a new sales initiative for Ameriplas and fits the new criteria that Ameriplas has established for additionnal customers.

This new production will generate sales of over $ 600 000 in the first year and approximatively $ 800 000 in the second year.

Ameriplas Holdings Ltd.'s President Clement Lussier commented, "After the excitement of building our new plant in 2004, we were hit with problems late in the year.Adding new customers is one important step among many that we are taking to rebuild the Company's working capital position.It also shows that there is still a very strong demand for preform pre·form

AMERIPLAS OPERATIONS

Ameriplas has been in the business of manufacturing plastic preforms for the Canadian and U.S. water and soft drinks bottling industry since December 1999.Preforms are made from plastic PET (polyethylene teraphthalate) pellets and sold to beverage companies that heat and blow them into the form of bottles used for their beveragesPET preforms are used industry wide in the production of plastic beverage containers to avoid the costs and difficulties of shipping bulky plastic bottles.A primary use of these bottles is for bottled water, wich is the fastest growing segment of the beverage industry.Other uses include soft drinks, sports drinks sports drink Performance drink Sports medicine A thirst-quenching beverage used in sports-related activities, which may boost energy and/or help build muscle mass; water, sugar, salt, potassium are common to all SDs.
