Amerinet Announces Promotions - Names VP and Senior Director.


ST. LOUIS -- Amerinet, a leading national health care group purchasing organization, has named Robert Hardy as vice president of executive solutions and Christina Smith as the new senior director for the Amerinet Clinical Advantage program.

Hardy will manage the Executive Solutions area including sales and support for the Executive Resources and Office Solutions contract portfolios, as well as provide direction regarding sales activities, goal setting and budgeting. In addition, he will oversee the Amerinet Clinical Advantage program. Hardy will report to Randall Walter, executive vice president of enterprise solutions and marketing.

Prior to his promotion, Hardy served as senior director of corporate business development for Amerinet. He has been with Amerinet for 17 years, also serving as director of administrative services and assistant director of materials management. Previously, Hardy worked in the finance department of a 400-bed acute care hospital, where he supervised patient accounting and reimbursement. He received a master's degree in organizational leadership from Geneva College and a bachelor's degree in business management from California University of Pennsylvania.

Christina Smith, RN, MSN, has been promoted to senior director of the Amerinet Clinical Advantage program. In her new role, Smith will manage the day-to-day activities of the program and take a lead project management role in providing clinical consulting services to hospitals' executive management and physicians. Smith will also oversee the management and training of the clinical strategist team.

Prior to her new responsibilities, Smith worked as an Amerinet clinical strategist providing direct consulting services to reduce implant costs and improve physician relations. Smith joined Amerinet in 1998 with more than 18 years of health care experience as a surgical services administrative director, OR nurse manager and perioperative nursing staff member.

She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Vermont and a master's degree in health care administration from Northeastern University. Smith is also a member of the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
