Amerifit acquires Culturelle.

Amerifit Nutrition, Inc., Bloomfield, CT, has acquired Culturelle, a leading probiotic dietary supplement in the U.S. The bacteria strain in Culturelle, Lactobacillus GG, has been researched for its effectiveness in managing a variety of conditions including antibiotic-associated diarrhea, traveler's diarrhea, immune system support, Clostridium difficile and atopic eczema, among others. To ensure Culturelle's ongoing success, Amerifit Nutrition plans to fully support and promote the product. This includes providing assistance to current studies with major universities and the National Institutes of Health and developing a probiotic Continuing Education program for pharmacists.
