Americas United Bank Celebrates Its Grand Opening.

Over 350 Guests, Including Shareholders, Toasted the Bank's Grand Opening

GLENDALE, Calif. -- Americas United Bank (AUB), the first Hispanic-owned and managed bank to open its doors in California in over thirty years, celebrated its grand opening with a cocktail reception and open house to thank over 350 guests, including shareholders for raising $28.7 million in capital, primarily from the local Hispanic community.

At the reception, the bank thanked the founding shareholders and board members for their support and for making the evening possible. As part of AUB's commitment to the local community, the grand opening celebration also served to announce the bank's title sponsorship support of Media City Ballet's production of "The Nutcracker," performed at the historic Alex Theatre in Glendale. The production is expected to draw over 4,000 residents from Glendale and the surrounding area the weekend of December 8, 2006.

The evening celebration hosted Los Angeles-based business owners, professionals and entrepreneurs, as well as government officials and community leader's, including Dave Weaver, Mayor of Glendale. Those in attendance received a tour of the bank's branch and corporate office.
