Americas' SAP Users' Group Offers Two Support Focused Events In Chicago; Events to Provide Customer-Driven Education and Insights on Support Organizations.CHICAGO -- The Americas' SAP Users' Group (ASUG ASUG - America's SAP Users' Group ASUG - Australian Shipping User Group(R)), the world's largest customer-run community of SAP professionals, announced two support-focused events to help SAP customers evaluate and improve their support organizations: the Reinventing Your Support Organization Workshop, August 21-22, and the Optimizing Your Support Symposium, August 23-24. Both events will be held in Chicago at the Westin Chicago River North. The support focused events will help SAP customers gain a better understanding of their current support organizations and learn best practices from fellow customers who have broad experience supporting their SAP environments. All ASUG members and other licensed SAP customers, SAP Partners, and non-certified partners are welcome and encouraged to attend both events. The Reinventing Your Support Organization Workshop, led by author and Diagonal Group partner Doug Whittle, will feature an in-depth review of two organizations that successfully built their IT support teams through the integration of SAP and non-SAP applications. Jenifer Jarriel, Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer for the Baylor College of Medicine, and Chris Van Liew, Director of IT Enterprise Systems SAP Support for Weyerhaeuser Company will share in-depth reviews of their IT support organizations and offer attendees insights on how to build a strategy for their own organization. Immediately following the workshop, ASUG will present the Optimizing Your Support Symposium. Targeted for directors of support staff, this event will feature customer-run education on various support topics including help desk, call centers, problem management, SAP Customer Competence Center (CCC) / Center of Excellence (COE), support tools and business process management.
