AmericanTowns.com Launches New Online Publicity Tool for Community Groups.

Allows Local Organizations to Promote Their Activities To Town Residents and Local News Media

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Local organizations now have a faster and more direct promotional link to the community. AmericanTowns, the largest national network of hyper-local community websites, today announced that it will provide a "One Click Publicity" tool that will enable local groups to post their press releases on AmericanTowns.com and then distribute them to local media. This new, proprietary online tool is free to organizations at www.AmericanTowns.com.

AmericanTowns.com is a "virtual town square" for 6000 communities, currently covering the nation's top 50 DMAs (excepting New York City), and includes the nation's most extensive online database of local events, community organizations and resources. Each community's site at AmericanTowns.com is rich with local content and also allows local residents to post and share additional information that is important to them. AmericanTowns plans to introduce additional features this year to help bloggers achieve wider exposure in their communities.

"We're creating an entire new set of online tools to help community organizations and residents communicate more effectively with each other," said Jim Maglione, co-president of AmericanTowns.com LLC. "Our goal is to forge stronger bonds between local organizations and the communities and people that they serve."

The new publicity tool allows groups and organizations to:

* Immediately post press releases to the local community website at AmericanTowns.com

* Distribute each release to local newspapers in one click

* Easily manage all contact and event information, at one central site

* Do all of this - and more - AT NO CHARGE

This new publicity tool is just one of a suite of new user services being rolled out by AmericanTowns.com.

AmericanTowns.com also offers non-profit organizations the tools to quickly and easily expand the reach of their event marketing and fundraising efforts to town residents.
