American jazz band swings by the Picturedrome; American jazz.


THE rise and rise of Hot Club of Cowtown is a phenomenon of US music.

The American jazz and Western Swing threesome have broken every record for their kind of music since their formation in the mid-1990s.

On Friday, July 24 they arrive at Holmfirth's Picturedrome, as all good bands seem to do sooner or later.

The story of Hot Club of Cowtown's formation is that Elana Jones (violin and vocals) met Whit Smith (guitar and vocals), through an ad in New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 City's Village Voice.

They were joined a little later by Jake Erwin (bass and vocals) and never looked back.

From early days busking for tips in San Diego''s Balboa Park, the band has grown and developed into a formidable international sensation.

More than a decade later, the Hot Club of Cowtown is now the most globe-trotting, hard-swinging Western Swing trio on the planet.

This journey, which began with the roots of the Hot Jazz era, Americana music, vintage pop and folk music, continues to unfold into the new sound of the group''s original songs.

In the UK they have appeared on BBC BBC
 in full British Broadcasting Corp.
