The Acquisition Community Connection Web team announces the launch of their newest special interest area, Unique Identification. UID--a DoD strategic imperative--is a program to mark items owned by the Department of Defense with unique, machine-readable ma·chine-read·a·ble adj. Easy to feed directly into a computer, as data that have been stored magnetically.
