American Woodmark Corporation Increases Quarterly Cash Dividend.

WINCHESTER, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 26, 1998--American Woodmark Corporation (Nasdaq/NM: AMWD) today announced a quarterly cash dividend of $0.04 per share to be paid on September 25, 1998, to shareholders of record on September 11, 1998. The cash dividend was increased from the prior quarter dividend of $0.03 per share paid on June 29, 1998. The increase in the cash dividend follows the Company's tenth consecutive quarter of record net income.

American Woodmark Corporation manufactures and distributes kitchen cabinets and vanities, serving both the remodeling and new housing construction markets. Its products are sold on a national basis through a network of independent distributors and directly to home centers, major builders and home manufacturers.
