American Water Names McChesney Southeast Regional Director of Business Development.


VOORHEES, N.J. -- American Water today announced the appointment of Peter McChesney to the position of regional director of business development for the company's Southeast Region, which includes Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia West Virginia, E central state of the United States. . In addition to this role, McChesney has been a key member of the team dedicated to designing and implementing American Water's growth strategy across the country.

Prior to joining American Water, McChesney held the position of business development director in several units of the Suez Group, working on acquisition of industrial co-generation facilities in the energy field and design-build-operate projects in the water industry. He additionally held domestic and international business development director positions with PSEG PSEG Public Service Enterprise Group  Global, leading asset acquisition efforts in Europe and market entry strategy in North America.

McChesney holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Environmental Studies from Williams College Williams College, at Williamstown, Mass.; coeducational; chartered 1785, opened as a free school 1791, became a college 1793, named for Ephraim Williams. The Williams campus, noted for its fine old buildings, includes West College (1790), the Van Rensselaer Manor  and two Master's degrees from Yale University in Business and Natural Resources Management.
