American Transitech Inc., a pioneer in remanufacturing toner cartridges, raised over $3,000 for Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties and Toys For Tots in partnership with Lockheed Martin Space & Strategic Missiles and Stanford Linear Accelerator Center as well as other businesses through its Make An Impact program - the purchase and recycling of toner cartridges.

The Make An Impact program, which will officially launch in January 2003, has generated tremendous interest while in pilot mode from businesses and non-profit organizations alike. "I'm expecting even more participation and contributions next year so our impact will not only be sizable, but will make a significant difference in the lives of many," commented Denise Laine, President & CEO of American Transitech.

"With reduced cash donations from food drives this year, and a 20% increase in demand caused by the recession and unemployment, our community needs have grown."
