") has reached an agreement with the El Salvadoran Telecommunications entity of SOLARES, S.A. de C.V. ("SOLARES"), as the Export Import Bank has agreed to insure the financing of a teleport facility in the capital city of San Salvador, and SOLARES has chosen ATSI as its vendor of choice. In connection with the equipment sale, ATSI is negotiating an interconnection agreement with SOLARES to allow for the provision of call services, Internet and other network services between El Salvador , the rest of Latin America and the United States, via ATSI's teleport facilities. SOLARES has obtained a long distance license, which includes a three-digit country code allowing it to originate long distance traffic from any location within the country of El Salvador. Hector Trevino ATSI's International Sales Manager states "ATSI's alliance with SOLARES opens up a new and potentially highly profitable market for us. Currently, long distance between the U.S. and El Salvador exceeds 144 million minutes annually, which is the largest volume of traffic between the U.S. and any of the Central American countries.
