American Technologies Group Inc. $5 Million Equity Line Clears SEC.

MONROVIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 2001

American Technologies Group Inc. (ATG) (OTCBB:ATEG) today announced that the $5 million funding structure it had signed with a group of institutional investors has been declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company has already received more than $1 million under the funding structure including a $150,000 advance for the company on March 23, 2001.

As the company has previously advised its shareholders, for the past several years, ATG has been redefining itself, disposing of non-core assets, validating its core technologies and developing products from those technologies. As with many small companies transitioning from R&D to Marketing and Sales, capital has been very difficult to secure to develop and market its products.

This equity line is a significant development for the company in that it makes funds available to generate revenues for the company. However, partly because of general market conditions, ATG's stock price, like that of many small companies, has been depressed, thereby limiting the amount of capital that can be advanced to the company from the funding structure.

The company is reviewing all of its options on how to assure itself that it will have the capital necessary to run the infomercial, manufacture the distiller and market its products, and presently is in the process of doing so. It is anticipated by management that the first tranche of this will be achieved in the next several days.
