American Suzuki Signs as Presenting Sponsor of Transworld SNOWboarding 7th Annual Riders' Poll Awards.


OCEANSIDE, Calif. -- TransWorld SNOWboarding Transworld Snowboarding is a magazine about snowboarding and snowboarding culture.

, the world's largest and most respected snowboarding magazine, announced today that American Suzuki Motor Corporation has signed as the presenting sponsor of the magazine's 7th Annual Riders' Poll Awards. The multi-media partnership between American Suzuki and TransWorld SNOWboarding will reach out to the magazine's more than one million, largely teen male, readers via web content, book promotional advertising, sampling opportunities and on-site signage at the event.

TransWorld SNOWboarding Riders' Poll Awards honor snowboarding's top athletes, presenting seven awards to professional snowboarders in the categories of: Stand Out Performance of the Year, Male and Female Rookie of the Year Rookie of the Year may refer to:
  • Rookie of the Year (award), a sports award for the most outstanding rookie in a given season
  • Rookie of the Year (film), a 1993 starring Thomas Ian Nicholas
  • Rookie of the Year (album) by rapper Ya Boy
, Male and Female Rider of the Year, and Male and Female Readers' Choice. Winners are determined by polling more than 150 of the most respected professional snowboarders worldwide and magazine readers. Previous winners of the prestigious awards have included Olympian Danny Kass, X-Games Gold Medal winner Tara Dakides and snowboard superstar Shaun White.
