The Yan'an region is a recognized oil-producing district and has the necessary infrastructure to support an expanding oil industry. This M.O.U. provides the company with a much expanded oil region to work upon. -- The importance of this M.O.U. is that it is in keeping with Beijing's stated policy to promote and develop additional industrial activity within the northwest areas of China. In addition to oil, the M.O.U. provides for the joint development of other mineral projects such as gold, copper and silver. Provision is also made for other non-mineral activities to include high technology investments. -- The company has signed an M.O.U. with "China National Packaging and Food Machinery Company" of Beijing, a subsidiary of China Machinery Industrial Group. A joint venture company is to be formed with the objective of developing projects in China, which will include machinery, electronic equipment and new technology products.
