American Seed Trade Association.

The American Seed Trade Association, Washington, D.C., Web site, www. amseed.org, now has new content to provide more information to members. New features include seed statistics in "About ASTA"; information and registration for the Corn & Sorghum sorghum, tall, coarse annual (Sorghum vulgare) of the family Gramineae (grass family), somewhat similar in appearance to corn (but having the grain in a panicle rather than an ear) and used for much the same purposes. Probably indigenous to Africa, it is one of the longest-cultivated plants of warm regions there and also in Asia—especially in India and China. and Soybean Conferences, Seed Expo 2001, and Farm and Lawn Seed Conferences in "Meetings and Opportunities"; what's new in "International Programs"; legislative calendar, legal development updates, and government links in "Government Affairs"; and extensive agricultural links in several sections.
