The American Seed Trade Association, Washington, D.C., Web site, www. amseed.org, now has new content to provide more information to members. New features include seed statistics in "About ASTA"; information and registration for the Corn & Sorghum sorghum, tall, coarse annual (Sorghum vulgare) of the family Gramineae (grass family), somewhat similar in appearance to corn (but having the grain in a panicle rather than an ear) and used for much the same purposes. Probably indigenous to Africa, it is one of the longest-cultivated plants of warm regions there and also in Asia—especially in India and China. and Soybean Conferences, Seed Expo 2001, and Farm and Lawn Seed Conferences in "Meetings and Opportunities"; what's new in "International Programs"; legislative calendar, legal development updates, and government links in "Government Affairs"; and extensive agricultural links in several sections.
