American Science expands with launch of four new journals.

American Science Publishing (Stevenson Ranch, CA), the publisher of Genome Letters and Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, is embarking on a major expansion plan with the launch of four new quarterly journals, including Journal of Computational and Theoretical Nanoscience (JCTN), Journal of Holography and Speckle (JHS), Journal of Low Power Electronics (JLPE) and Sensor Letters.

JCTN is targeted to scientists, engineers and biologists working in nanoscience and nanotechnology related to chemistry, physics, materials science, engineering, biotechnology and a variety of other fields. Editorial will include articles and research on everything from basic physics to issues in theoretical biosciences. The first issue will be published in March. An annual subscription costs $179 for individuals and $498 for institutions.

JHS, to be launched in January, is targeted to scientists and engineers working in the fields of holography, speckle, lasers, optical science and engineering. It is being launched to carry articles, research papers and reviews on such topics as biomedical optics, computers, information storage, digital photography and holograms. An annual subscription costs $179 and $475, respectively.

JLPE, also to be launched in January, is designed to be a forum for the dissemination of information in the field of low power electronics. Targeted to scientists, engineers and medical experts, the journal will carry information on microelectronics, electronic engineering, semiconductor technology, computer science, device design and manufacturing. An annual subscription costs $179 and $475, respectively.

Finally, Sensor Letters will be launched with a December issue and will cover a wide variety of developments in sensor technologies relating to the fields of science, engineering and medicine. Editorial will focus on "important" new scientific and technological findings in such fields as fiber optics, sonar, thermal, electromagnetic, biotoxin and chemical sensors. An annual subscription costs $179 and $575, respectively.
