Announces Receipt of $1.7 Million Order From the Middle East

:ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) A relational DBMS from Sybase that runs on Windows NT/2000, Linux and a variety of Unix platforms. ASE is a comprehensive and robust data management product with a long history dating back to the late 1980s. ) today announced receipt of a $1.7 million order from a Middle Eastern government (that has requested anonymity) to protect public and private facilities during an upcoming special regional event.

The order is comprised of fourteen X-ray inspection systems incorporating the Company's proprietary Z(R) Backscatter backscatter

in radiology, radiation deflected by scattering processes at angles greater than 90 degrees to the original direction of the beam of radiation. Important in radiotherapy when estimating surface exposure dose.
 technology which detects organics such as plastic explosives, plastic weapons and drugs that often go undetected by competing systems. This order, which is expected to ship in the current quarter, includes a wide range of the Company's products, including the Model 66 for inspection of small packages, the Models 101XL and 101GT for inspection of luggage and larger parcels, and the Model 101 Van, a vehicle-mounted inspection system designed for and built to the rigorous specifications of U.S. Customs.
