American Science and Engineering, Inc. (AMEX: ASE) (AS&E(R)), a leader in X-ray detection technology, announced today that Ralph Foose, Vice President of Operations, will retire from the Company on December 31, 2003. Mr. Foose joined AS&E in September 1999. Mr. Anthony R. Fabiano, President and Chief Executive Officer, thanked Mr. Foose for his years of service and contributions to the Company. AS&E has not yet announced its plans for filling Mr. Foose's position.
