American Savings Bank accepts Robinson resignation.

, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 1995--American Savings Bank savings bank, financial institution that, until recently, performed only the following functions: receiving savings deposits of individuals, investing them, and providing a modest return to its depositors in the form of interest.  Monday announced that it has accepted the resignation of W. Brent Brent, outer borough (1991 pop. 226,100) of Greater London, SE England. The area is a rail and industrial center. Its manufactures include automobile parts, clocks and watches, and electrical equipment.  Robinson, executive vice president and director, Retail Banking.

The resignation is effective immediately.

Robinson, 54, had been with American Savings Bank since October 1986 and had been an executive vice president and director of Retail Banking since January 1987. He had been a member of the board of directors of American Savings Bank since 1992.

Mario J. Antoci, chairman and chief executive officer, will act as interim director of Retail Banking. The search for a replacement for the position is commencing immediately.
