American Savings Association completes initial stock offering.


PORTSMOUTH, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 1995--Gerald R. Jenkins, president of American Savings Association announced today that ASB ASB Asbestos

), the holding company for American Savings Association, has completed its stock offering in connection with American Savings Association's conversion from mutual to stock form.

1,587,000 shares were sold in the conversion to depositors of the association at $10 per share. An additional 126,960 shares are being sold to the company's employee stock ownership plan at $10 per share out of authorized but unissued shares, bringing the total issued and outstanding shares to 1,713,960. The stock is anticipated to begin trading on May 11, 1995 on the National Association of Securities Dealers National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD)
