) today announced that the A.M. Best Company has affirmed its "A" (Excellent) rating for its insurance operating companies operating company

The A.M. Best Company has affirmed the "A" (Excellent) rating for the American Safety Insurance Group of companies, consisting of American Safety Casualty Insurance Company, American Safety Reinsurance The contract made between an insurance company and a third party to protect the insurance company from losses. The contract provides for the third party to pay for the loss sustained by the insurance company when the company makes a payment on the original contract. , Ltd., American Safety Insurance Group, Ltd., and American Safety's non-subsidiary affiliate, American Safety Risk Retention Group, Inc. Not included in the group rating is the recently acquired American Safety Indemnity Company, which will be separately rated.
