American Running Association.Dear American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of Runner, I'm delighted to introduce myself as the new President of The American Running Association. I've been a member of American Running for close to 20 years. Some of you may also have heard from me, because I've been a Clinic Advisor for many years too and I also help edit Running & FitNews.. I enjoy my American Running membership and believe in our mission. As President I want to serve this wonderful organization so that it can help mote (reMOTE) A wireless receiver/transmitter that is typically combined with a sensor of some type to create a remote sensor. Some motes are designed to be incredibly small so that they can be deployed by the hundreds or even thousands for various applications (see smart dust). people benefit from running. First, I'd like to thank Brian Bolton who served as our President for the last two years. Now, let me introduce you to three other American Running Members who recently joined our Board of Directors: Jeff Harbison, Sam (1) (Security Accounts Manager) The part of Windows NT that manages the database of usernames, passwords and permissions. The American Running Association is a community of runners who share their talents to improve the health and performance of Americans. We started as a handful of running doctors, like myself, and I'm confident you can't find better medical and training information anywhere. But we don't have a lot of business expertise. We need help getting sponsors. We need help expanding our online presence. We need help setting the agenda for the next century. We need your help. Do you know any companies that may be interested in working with running doctors to get their message out? Or someone who can help us improve our Web site? Do you have contacts at companies that may want to sponsor our programs? Or work at races that could give us a booth or distribute Running & FitNews? Do you have ideas to improve our programs. I'm excited about our future, and I'd like to work with you to help us realize our goals.
