Sylvan Prometric(tm), the global leader in delivery of technology-based testing services, announced that it has been awarded a contract to be the exclusive delivery partner of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) through its Sylvan Technology Centers(R) in the U.S.

The first computer-based test -- Mammography -- will be available starting January 1st at more than 300 Sylvan Technology Centers from coast to coast.

According to Dr. Jerry Reid, executive director of the ARRT (www.arrt.org), the move to computer-based testing comes after some 75 years of "pencil and paper" testing, which was available only on the third Thursday in March, July and October. He said seven additional exams -- Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiation Therapy Technology and Quality Management -- will be available as computer-based tests at Sylvan Technology Centers beginning in January 2000.
