American Re Names Wolfgang Engshuber Executive Vice President and Member of the Board of Management.


PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 23, 1998--American Re Corporation announced today that Dr. Wolfgang Engshuber will join the Company as Executive Vice President and will become a member of American Re's Board of Management. American Re's asset management subsidiary, American Re Asset Management, Inc. (ARAM) and its financial products and capital markets unit, American Re Financial Products (ARFP ARFP Animal Rescue and Foster Program (Greensboro, NC)

), part of which is the new American Re Capital Markets, Inc., will each report to Dr. Engshuber. He will also provide Board of Management level oversight

Dr. Engshuber is expected to join American Re in the fourth quarter of 1998, after relocating with his family to the Princeton area.

Dr. Engshuber was granted a Masters Degree in Law in 1982 and a Ph.D. in Economics in 1986, both from the University of Munich. He also studied at the London School of Economics The School is a member of the Russell Group, the European University Association, Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Community of European Management Schools and International Companies, The Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs as well as the Golden  and worked for the International Monetary Fund and the German Ministry for Developing Countries before joining Munich Re in 1986.
