American Radio Systems to acquire KKIK-FM, Temple, Texas.

AFMs are used to solve processing and materials problems in electronics, telecom, biology and other high-tech industries. ) announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire radio station KKIK-FM, licensed to Temple, Texas, from Stellar Communications Inc.

The purchase price will be approximately $3,650,000. Consummation of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval.

KKIK-FM's signal is currently being upgraded and the city of license is being changed to Taylor, Texas Taylor is a city in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 13,575 at the 2000 census; it was 15,014 in the 2005 census estimate. The local newspaper is the Taylor Daily Press, formerly owned by the legendary Texas publisher Frank W. Mayborn. . Once the upgrade is completed, the station will service the cities of Temple and Taylor and the greater Austin radio market. American Radio currently owns KKMJ-FM, KAMX-FM and KJCE-AM serving Austin.

(inc. 1850). , Hartford, Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. , Austin, Buffalo, San Francisco/San Jose, West Palm Beach, Rochester, Dayton and Fresno. The company also has options and/or agreements to buy additional radio stations in Cincinnati, Portland, San Francisco/San Jose, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, West Palm Beach and Riverside.
