The purchase price will be approximately $3,650,000. Consummation of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval. KKIK-FM's signal is currently being upgraded and the city of license is being changed to Taylor, Texas Taylor is a city in Williamson County, Texas, United States. The population was 13,575 at the 2000 census; it was 15,014 in the 2005 census estimate. The local newspaper is the Taylor Daily Press, formerly owned by the legendary Texas publisher Frank W. Mayborn. . Once the upgrade is completed, the station will service the cities of Temple and Taylor and the greater Austin radio market. American Radio currently owns KKMJ-FM, KAMX-FM and KJCE-AM serving Austin. Whitley Broadcast Media Inc. represented the seller in this transaction.
