The station will be acquired for approximately $12,500,000. Consummation of the transaction is subject to the approval of the Federal Communications Commission Federal Communications Commission (FCC), independent executive agency of the U.S. government established in 1934 to regulate interstate and foreign communications in the public interest. . American Radio Systems currently owns WYRK-FM, WJYE-FM and WECK-AM in Buffalo, and has an option to acquire WBLK-FM, which it is managing under a local marketing agreement. As part of this transaction, American will be responsible for the management of WSJZ-FM under a local marketing agreement commencing immediately.
