American Productivity &Quality Center Recognizes Xerox as a Benchmark in Knowledge Management.

: XRX XRX Xerox Corporation (stock symbol) ) today announced that the American Productivity &Quality Center (APQC APQC American Productivity & Quality Center ) has named Xerox one of five global organizations that serve as models for implementing knowledge management successfully.

&uot;Xerox changed the way the business world looked at Total Quality and benchmarking,&uot; said Carla O'Dell, APQC president and subject matter expert for APQC's Successfully Implementing Knowledge Management. &uot;Their leadership will now transform the way enterprises think about sharing knowledge.&uot;

Based on secondary research and the knowledge of subject matter expert O'Dell, 12 organizations were nominated nom·i·nate

1. To propose by name as a candidate, especially for election.

2. To designate or appoint to an office, responsibility, or honor.
 for excellence in knowledge management. The APQC's 39 sponsor companies then selected the five organizations against which they would benchmark for best practices.

Xerox hosted a site visit for the sponsor companies and will present best practices at the APQC Knowledge Transfer Session, February 7-9 in Houston, along with other honorees Siemens AG Siemens AG
