Motherboard, a long-life industrial motherboard with dual-core processor technology and PCI Express A high-speed peripheral interconnect from Intel introduced in 2002. Note that although sometimes abbreviated "PCX," PCI Express is not the same as "PCI-X" (see PCI-SIG and PCI-X for comparison). As a result of the confusion, "PCI-E" or "PCIe" is the accepted abbreviation. . Powered by the Intel[R] Core[TM] 2 Duo E6400 and T7400 processors and the Intel[R] Q965 Express chipset, the 965MTX Motherboard was designed specifically for performance intensive industrial applications such as Medical Devices, Security Systems, Imaging, Industrial Automation, and Communications.

Dual-core processing is the latest innovation in microprocessor technology. With two execution cores packaged into one processor, dual-core processing allows for simultaneous computing, delivering higher throughput with greater energy efficiency.

PCI Express is the new I/O New I/O, usually called NIO, is a collection of Java programming language APIs that offer features for intensive I/O operations. It was introduced with the J2SE 1.4 release of Java by Sun Microsystems to complement an existing standard I/O.  interconnect bus standard capable of high bandwidth transfers up to 4 GB/s. The featured PCI Express x16 dedicated graphics slot supports the latest high-performance graphics cards, delivering over 3.5 times traditional AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) A high-speed 32-bit port from Intel for attaching a display adapter to a PC. It provides a direct connection between the card and memory, and only one AGP slot is on the motherboard.  8X. This feature is ideal for graphic intensive embedded computing applications. The featured PCI Express x4 is capable of transferring 2 GB/s, up to 3.5 times faster than standard PCI (1) (Payment Card Industry) See PCI DSS.

2.0 ports, one (1) or two (2) PCI Express-based 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, Intel[R] High Definition Audio, and onboard Intel[R] Graphics Media Accelerator 3000.

Standard features include two (2) 32-bit PCI slots for legacy devices, one (1) PCI-Express x4 slot, four RS232 serial ports (factory configurable to RS422/RS485), one (1) parallel port, one (1) PS/2 mouse/keyboard connector and a floppy controller.

"The new 965MTX Motherboard with the Intel[R] T7400 processor and Q965 Express chipset provides the highest system-level performance of all our product offerings and we are excited to be able to offer it to our customers who want the latest, high performance system or board," said Ed Trevis, President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. .

"For three decades Intel has been a leader in embedded products, and together with our ecosystem we continue to raise the bar for embedded performance while maintaining the low thermals and long life cycle support that are critical to embedded applications," said Joe Jensen, general manager, Embedded Markets Division, Embedded and Communications Group.

The 965MTX Motherboard continues American Predator's commitment to provide long-life solutions and materials management. Like all American Predator products, the 965MTX Motherboard carries a written five (5) to eight (8) year product availability guarantee. This reduces the costs associated with product redesigns and re-certifications that are triggered by obsolescence ob·so·les·cent
