An electronic quotation listing of the bid and asked prices of OTC stocks that do not meet the requirements to be listed on the NASDAQ stock-listing system.
 system effective Jan. 26, 1999. The stock is expected to continue to trade on the NYSE under the symbol AGP through the close of trading today Jan. 25, 1999.

"American Pad & Paper plans to utilize the OTC Bulletin Board to provide stockholders a forum for trading the common stock without interruption," said James W. Swent III, Chief Executive Officer of AP&P. "Additionally the Company will continue the ongoing discussions with various security exchanges as we seek to provide stockholders with the most efficient marketplace possible."

Once a symbol is assigned to trade on the OTC Bulletin Board the Company will issue a subsequent release with that information.
