Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is an ancient and still very vital holistic system of health and healing, based on the notion of harmony and balance, and employing the ideas of moderation and prevention.

The process for inclusion was rigorous with central government experts, local authorities and highly-regarded institutions responsible for the group's final conclusions. Over time, selected companies will receive support from dedicated science and health personnel from the government agencies to augment their R&D efforts with an aim to improve the selected products to reach international standard and possible future globalization globalization
