American Oncology acquires Austin oncology group; expands presence in Texas market with 13 physicians.

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 1996--American Oncology Resources, Inc. (Nasdaq:AORI) today announced it has completed a transaction with the Southwest Regional Cancer Center, a thirteen physician medical and gynecologic oncology practice in Austin, Texas.

The transaction includes a management services agreement under which American Oncology Resources, Inc (AOR) will manage the operations of the center and assist the group in new practice development. In addition, AOR will purchase the non-medical assets and assume the non-medical liabilities of the practice. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
