. "There is tremendous synergy between our organizations, and the end result will be even better service for AOS customers. The transition from AOS to Lanier will be absolutely seamless for them. They will work with the same sales and service people, from the same offices, with the same access to Lanier document management solutions."

Smith continued: "In fact, now that AOS is part of the Lanier family, AOS teams will have access to the same resources as our other direct offices. For sales representatives and service technicians, that means state-of-the-art communications tools for instant remote access to inventory, pricing, shipping, and order status information. These tools will allow Lanier service professionals to be more accessible, respond faster, and diagnose problems before they arrive on site."

Smith also noted that AOS customers can take advantage of easier supplies ordering, by phone and online through LanierDirect.com.

"AOS customers will have a new toll-free number to call for ordering supplies, which includes direct drop-ship delivery," Smith said. "They will also be able to register with LanierDirect.com for secure, online access to their account information, 24 hours a day." Gerry Lowe, President of AOS, agreed with Smith's assessment.

"I am confident AOS customers will continue to receive the same responsive, high-quality, professional service they have come to expect," he said. "I'm very excited about this opportunity to make an even stronger connection between our customers, Lanier, and Ricoh."
