American Millennium Corp. to Monitor Additional Gas Compressors for Hanover Compressor Co.

American Millennium Corp. Inc. (AMCI) (Nasdaq OTC:AMCI) announced Tuesday that Hanover Compressor Co. (NYSE:HC) has accepted an AMCI proposal to provide satellite monitoring of 20 natural gas compressors installed on gas wells and pipeline stations.

According to Stephen F. Watwood, executive vice president of Business Development, AMCI has been monitoring two remote gas well compressors for Hanover since March 3 of this year. Current plans call for the installation of equipment to monitor an additional 18 compressors within 60 days at various sites selected by Hanover. The 18 compressors are being monitored for Chevron Corp., according to Hanover.

Bruce R. Bacon, vice president of Engineering of AMCI noted that: "Each well or pipeline site is turnkey, stand alone, and uniquely programmable to the needs of the customer. In fact, the equipment installed on the two well compressors currently being monitored are solar powered with no need for on site power."

Bacon stated that when a compressor shuts down or an alarm condition exists, the redundant features built into AMCI's notification process are designed to ensure that the well or pipeline site operator is notified. Every site being monitored has a subscriber communicator (SC) with its own e-mail address. Each SC can send and receive messages through the ORBCOMM satellite based data communications system. This enables the unit to call out for alarm events as well as receive polls for current status and commands to modify the system's program behavior. Alarm events are time-stamped and a history log is maintained at a password protected internet site supplied by AMCI and accessible to Hanover," he said.

Shutdown alarms are sent directly to the AMCI monitoring center for immediate processing and the 24/7 service center calls all pre-defined pagers and/or phone numbers to notify the Hanover operatives responsible for that particular field asset.
