American Megatrends to Exhibit Cutting-Edge Server and RAID Solutions at COMDEX/Fall '98.

American Megatrends, Inc., a leading supplier of core technology solutions, will announce several new and updated products during COMDEX The former, premier computer trade show in the U.S. Although it grew into an end user event, it was originally created for dealers and distributors (it was the COMputer Dealers EXposition).  '98 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the week of November 16 - 20.

Among the new products and technologies shown at COMDEX this year, AMI will highlight a Windows NT(R) Clustering Demonstration featuring the first PCI (1) (Payment Card Industry) See PCI DSS.

(2) (Peripheral Component Interconnect) The most widely used I/O bus (peripheral bus).
 RAID controller certified by Microsoft(R) for NT clustering, the MegaRAID Ultra (series 428). The COMDEX demonstration will feature a brief overview of clustering technology, as well as an in-depth look at AMI's revolutionary clustering solution, which provides users with the ability to gain active-active failover support without a significant investment in overhead.

In addition to this cutting-edge technology, AMI will display a wide variety of next-generation RAID products, which feature higher performance and more robust fault-tolerant features. Included in these products is the MegaRAID Ultra2 LVD See LVDS.

AMI will also feature the new MegaPlex(tm), the first quad Pentium II Xeon (processor) Pentium II Xeon - The successor to Intel Corporation's Pentium II processor.

The Xeon has the same P6 core as existing Pentium Pro/Pentium II units, but it supports a 100 MHz system bus and offers as much as 2 MB of level 2 cache.
