(AMI), the leader in storage and computing computing - computer  innovations worldwide, today announced the addition of AMIDiag(R) for Windows, a diagnostic software application for the Windows(R) environment, to its extensive line of products.

Building on the strength of previous versions of American Megatrends' award-winning diagnostic software utility, AMIDiag for Windows is an interactive Windows-based diagnostic software utility.

AMIDiag for Windows is an interactive utility that offers advanced capabilities for the Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000 Operating Systems Operating systems can be categorized by technology, ownership, licensing, working state, usage, and by many other characteristics. In practice, many of these groupings may overlap.  including system information for major components, system diagnostics and interactive diagnostics. Designed with the consumer in mind, the AMIDiag for Windows interface is easy to navigate and allows for user-friendly interaction and comprehension. AMIDiag for Windows offers several fully interactive features including mouse, keyboard, video resolution, 3D video and audio tests, which enable the administrator to view results as they run. AMIDiag for Windows was designed to give the user the ability to schedule component testing, choose the order in which to run those tests and an intuitive interface with which the test results are viewed.

A premier feature of AMIDiag for Windows is Trouble Ticket(TM), which gathers information from and prints out the results in an easy-to-read format. Trouble Ticket has also been structured to send diagnostic test results via email to an address determined by the user. This function allows the administrator to view the results of the system tests from a remote location, and if there is a problem with a system, the user can run AMIDiag on their system and email the results to the PC supplier. Trouble Ticket will make diagnosing a system failure easier for the consumer as well as the system provider.

AMIDiag for Windows will be packaged with the industry standard diagnostic AMIDiag 6.02 for DOS. By bundling the two diagnostics together, not only will the consumer be able to diagnose diagnose /di·ag·nose/ (di´ag-nos) to identify or recognize a disease.
