The centers will provide immunisation against infectious diseases that can be effectively controlled by means of active vaccinations. The diseases include, but are not limited to diphtheria diphtheria (dĭfthēr`ēə), acute contagious disease caused by Corynebacterium diphtheriae (Klebs-Loffler bacillus) bacteria that have been infected by a bacteriophage.
