American Medical Alert Corp. Announces Status of City of New York Contract.

Since 1983, American Medical Alert Corp. (NASDAQ: AMAC) has provided Personal Emergency Response Systems to the City of New York's, Human Resources Administration, Home Care Services Program (HCSP).

In January 1999, AMAC and many other companies submitted proposals to provide PERS services on behalf of the City of New York. On Friday, October 21, 1999, we were advised by HCSP, via telephone, that another company had been preliminarily recommended.
