American Media Inc. announces acquisition of MediaOne Inc.

, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 3, 1996--American Media Inc. announced that is has acquired MediaOne Inc. a national in-store advertising company, from Time Inc. In-Store Marketing.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

MediaOne is considered to be one of the most visible in-store advertising systems, because of its emphasis on the front end of supermarkets. Increasingly, the front end of supermarkets is viewed as a premier marketing location, as categories such as soft drinks, snacks and greeting cards See e-card.  attempt to secure positions. With MediaOne's 10 years experience in that arena, the company is well poised to expand on its goal of being an authority on marketing at the front end.
