American Matrix and Ensinger form an alliance.


American Matrix Corp. and Ensinger Industries Inc. formed a strategic alliance to promote the manufacture and sale of thermoplastic composite products.

The partnership is intended to leverage American Matrix Corp.'s technology and Ensinger's market presence to promote new applications in metal replacement and niche composite markets.

American Matrix, based in Tarpon Springs, FL, manufactures thermoplastic composite processing technology. The company has developed a variety of processing and material technology intellectual property using thermoplastic components. The components are made from continuous fibers and thermoplastic resins. The most popular, the company said, include PEEK, PPS and nylon with continuous carbon or glass fiber reinforcements.

Ensinger, with global headquarters in Germany and its US base in Washington, PA, manufactures and markets high-performance engineering plastics,
