American Marketing Association, Houston, Hosts September Events.


HOUSTON -- The Houston Chapter of AMA (Automatic Message Accounting) The recording and reporting of telephone calls within a telephone system. It includes the calling and called parties and start and stop times of the call.  will host a number of events in September.

The monthly luncheon, scheduled September 9, will feature Andrea Young, President and Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

 of Sam Houston Race Park Sam Houston Race Park is a horse racing track located in northwest Houston, Texas. Built at a cost of approximately $90 million and opened on April 24, 1994, the facility is the first Class 1 horse racing venue constructed in Texas.  and Valley Race Park, whose topic, "Back to Basics: Let's Make Things Interesting," will provide insight on the methods she used to distinguish Sam Houston Race Park from the competition within the horse racing horse racing, trials of speed involving two or more horses. AMA's Young Professional Marketers Special Interest Group (SIG) will feature Nancy Wilfong, Image Consultant of Get Organized, on September 15. She will discuss ways to make a great first impression, dressing for success and table etiquette skills to gain confidence while dining. On September 18, AMA's Business-to-Business SIG will host David Greely, Senior Brand Manager, Halliburton, and Ward Pennebaker, Principal & Chief Strategist, Pennebaker / fifthring. On September 25, AMA's Heathcare Marketing SIG will feature a panel of five healthcare marketing experts whose topic is, "Healthcare Marketing via Emerging Technologies." They will discuss how to utilize emerging technologies to achieve greater marketing reach, frequency and impact. The panelists will also discuss how to creatively leverage traditional media across new platforms. The event will be held at the Houston Zoo The Houston Zoo is a 55-acre zoological park located within Hermann Park in Houston, Texas.
