American Lung Association of Illinois ''Coasts'' to Success with Innovative New Program.


SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- The American Lung Association The American Lung Association (ALA) is a non-profit organization that "fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health".  of Illinois has implemented a bold new marketing program to reach tobacco users across the state, and promote the Toll Free Illinois Tobacco Quitline at 1-866-QUIT-YES. This new branding strategy acknowledges the continuous struggles smokers face while "quitting" and encourages tobacco users to use the Illinois Tobacco Quitline for professional advice, support and access to the most successful tobacco cessation tools and programs.

In addition to a new logo and tag line, the American Lung Association of Illinois has also developed a persuasive new brochure that illustrates the ease of using the toll free Quitline, and the incredible success rate the Quitline has achieved with Illinois tobacco users.

In partnership with hundreds of restaurants and bars across the state, these eye-catching coasters reach tobacco users in places where many admit an increased tendency to use tobacco products. These coasters are provided by the American Lung Association of Illinois free of charge to bars and restaurants. Bar and restaurant patrons are encouraged to take a coaster home for themselves or to give to a family member or friend.
