American Lawyer Media Names Rex Bossert Editor in Chief of the National Law Journal.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 8, 2004

American Lawyer Media ALM (formerly American Lawyer Media), is a leading integrated media company, focused on the legal and real estate communities. ALM owns and publishes 33 national and regional magazines and newspapers focused on the legal and real estate communities, including  (ALM), the nation's leading legal journalism and information company, today announced the appointment of Rex Bossert as editor in chief of The National Law Journal(R) (NLJ), effective March 15. Bossert currently serves as managing editor of ALM's New York Law Journal Founded in 1888, the New York Law Journal is the top-selling legal daily in the United States. The newspaper covers legal news, decisions, court calendars, and legislation, and provides analysis and insight in columns written by leading professionals. (R) and succeeds Charles Carter, who will assume Bossert's former position. Founded in 1978, The National Law Journal has the largest paid circulation of any weekly publication serving the legal community.

Bossert, 47, joined ALM in 1997 as associate editor of the NLJ and became managing editor of the New York Law Journal in 1999. Born in San Francisco, son of John and Harriet Joyner Wigmore, he attended Harvard University and earned the degrees AB in 1883, AM in 1884, and LLB in 1887.

He resides in New Rochelle, New York New Rochelle (French: Nouvelle-Rochelle) is a city in the southeast portion of the U.S. state of New York in Westchester County, 16 miles (26 km) from Grand Central Terminal in New York City and 2 miles north of the border with The Bronx. .
