American Land Title Association Names Diane Evans of Land Title Guarantee Company to National Board of Governors.

DENVER -- The national trade association for the abstract and title insurance industry, the American Land Title Association (ALTA), headquartered in Washington, D.C., elected Diane Evans, vice president of regulatory and legislative affairs for Land Title Guarantee Company, to its 11-member ALTA Board of Governors.

ALTA's Board of Governors is responsible for creating association policy, overseeing the financial health of the association, overseeing the work of 33 committees, and ensuring the overall welfare of the association.

With Land Title Guarantee Company (LTGC) for 25 years, Evans also has managed full-service operations for two counties including title, escrow operations, business and community development from the LTGC Castle Rock, Colo., office and since 2002 has served as Title Board Member for the Colorado Secretary of State's E-Recording Advisory Panel.

She previously was president of the Land Title Association of Colorado where she testified before HUD on RESPA reform, and, in conjunction with the Colorado Division of Insurance, created the TriParty Task Force, which jointly created the TriParty Agreement, which has regulated the funding of tens of thousands of real estate loans in Colorado since its inception.

Evans also was president for two years for the Colorado State Board of Land Commissioners and was appointed to the Colorado State University System Board of Governors in 2004.
