) announced today the election of Ambassador John H. Kelly to its Board of Directors.

Ambassador Kelly, who was Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian and Near Eastern affairs from 1989 to 1991, is currently Ambassador in Residence at the Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs The School's programs focus on understanding the global context of advances in science and technology and on preparing students to address pressing concerns at the nexus of science, technology, and international affairs.  at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. A career diplomat, John Kelly was four times Deputy Assistant Secretary of State as well as Ambassador to Finland and Lebanon.
